Military Mondays™ – What a great day! Imagine, I get to spend my afternoon on the cliffs of La Jolla and sharing a special and romantic moment with happy couples. What could be better? How about giving back to those that give so much to us! Celebration number two of Military Mondays continued with the free elopement for Kari and Samuel. Kari from Washington State and Samuel, a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy stationed at Point Loma brought a witness and we made our way into the Wedding Bowl (Cuvier Park) and the celebration began. It was indeed a wonderful moment and it means so much to me to be able to Serve those that Serve us! As mentione din my prior post, 4 of my angels shared the day with me; Melissa McClure Photography and Christina from Murasaki Media took care of the photos and video while Francesca the solo violinist from Caprice Strings serenaded us. Robin from Grand Floral joined in the fun by providing the beautiful bridal bouquet for Kari.

Heather and Jacob enjoy their free elopement on Military Mondays

Military Mondays™ – This Monday was one I was so looking forward too. Not only 2 awesome Military couples on the calendar, but every request for services were met by my Military Mondays Hero’s. First up today was Jacob and Heather. Capt. Jacob proudly serves us in the United States Marine Corps and he, along with Heather invited their friend Daniel, another proud Marine, to join them and witness the moment. The May Grey moved in early for the last day of April and although cloudy, we made our way down to the bluff of Cuvier Park and the ceremony went off without a hitch. As a matter of fact, a seal lion popped up out of the water to watch! My Military Mondays hero’s today not only gave their time and talent to Jacob and Heather, but also for the next Military Mondays couple. Melissa McClure Photography and Christina from Murasaki Media took care of the photos and video while Francesca the solo violinist from Caprice Strings serenaded us. Robin from Grand Floral joined in the fun by providing the beautiful bridal bouquet for Heather. Indeed, I had angels join me in Serving those that Serve us!

Wedding and Dustin say I Do with a Junipero Serra Museum Wedding

Vows From The Heart™ – Wendy and Dustin started planning their Junipero Serra Museum Wedding last year and did everything they could to make sure their day for not only themselves but for their family and friends was a wedding day not soon to forget. From their romantic and spiritual ceremony at the historic and beautiful Junipero Serra Museum in San Diego’s Presidio Park overlooking Mission Bay, to their reception, on the Mission Bay, at Marina Village. They brought in some real pros to help make the magic happen and everything came together most beautifully. From the soft and romantic harp music playing from above the altar, to the smell of fresh flowers in such an historic location was so much to enjoy. The staff at the Junipero Serra Museum were on hand to help Hannah, their wedding coordinator bring it all to life. They also enlisted the San Diego Trolly to bring the wedding party and families to the location which added to the fun and with their vintage theme, the ring bearers were just adorable in making the ceremony picture perfect. (I even had to snap a pic of these two as they made their way down the aisle with my iPad for years of my own memories).

Kimberly and Christopher celebrate with a Levyland Estates Wedding in Carlsbad

Vows From The Heart™ – Kimberly and Christopher planned their destination wedding from Michigan and planned they did! What a great location and what a great group of vendors they brought together. They are one of those “fun” couples. Always happy and ready to make the best of everything. Lighthearted yet, serious and romantic. Daughter Amanda singing beautifully during the ceremony to complete the magic before a handful of family and friends that made their way to the California coast! The Arbor for the ceremony was beautiful and I just loved its simplicity and its elegance. The white and blue colors and the starfish were just perfect for this location. This was my first time for a Levyland Estates Wedding in Carlsbad and was not disappointed. It’s a beautiful location that couples and families can rent nestled along side the Carlsbad Lagoon inlet. Plenty of room for many activities and a short walk out to the Carlsbad beach, which is the perfect location for a seaside wedding ceremony. My sound system worked beautifully here although, a little bit of a hassle to get it there. (I so need to get one of those balloon tire wagons for beaches) Not to fear, Amanda’s husband Dennis was quick to help carry equipment out to the beach and back again! A real trooper and I was so happy to have him lend a hand.

Military Mondays™ – Every Monday that I get to share in a Free Military Wedding is a great day. Every Day that the storm clouds part and allow for the ray of sunshine at sunset to be seen at a Free Military Wedding is an even better day. William “Billy” and Jessie are the true definition of Websters meaning (to run away with ones beloved). Just the three of us and the photographer sharing in the moment at sunset, in the Wedding Bowl (Cuvier Park) in La Jolla. William proudly serves us int he United States Marine Corps and these two were just so much in Love it showed before, during and after the ceremony. So much love and passion and as always, an honor for me to be part of the magic and to be able to offer this service. Serving those that Serve us. Now, add in the fact that Amanda from Will You Marry Me Photography took the photos for the celebration. She had just finished a full day of work, even working a little overtime, and still made it with plenty of time to spare. I am so blessed with the love our San Diego Wedding Vendors have for our active military!

Rocelle and Vincent celebrate with a Grand Tradition Estate Wedding

Vows From The Heart™ – The Grand Tradition Estate in Fallbrook was my number one venue in 2011. Simply meaning that out of all the venues I performed weddings last year, I was there the most over all the others. Amazing to be a part of so many wedding celebration and I can’t wait to see if this will be the number one for 2012. If you read my blog on a regular basis you will note that this is such a great place. With 2 beautiful ceremony and reception locations, couple would be hard pressed to find something better. Rocelle and Vincent knew this and made this their ceremony and reception location of choice. I was just a little bit early (I know, I’m always early) and had the chance to hang out with Megan and the staff to see just how easy they make it look bringing everything together to make Rocelle and Vincents day so picture perfect. From the moment she entered the ceremony location, in a horse drawn carriage, to the time they both rode away into the sunset, everything went without a hitch. One of those “moments” was when they did the Dove release. Vincent held the basket of two doves as I read one of my favorite poems, just for dove releases and he then, perfectly on cue, opened the basket and the both doves just simply poked their heads up, look at the crown, then each other, then Vincent and Rocelle and, with a slight bump to the basket, took to flight together. Priceless. The reception room was beyond beautiful and the smell of the chocolate fountain in the corner mixed with the smell of the flowers and the cake was heaven to say the least.

Nicole and Abraham's Lake Oak Meadows Wedding in Temecula Wine Country

Vows From The Heart™ – What a wonderful day and what a wonderful location. Nicole and Abraham made sure their Lake Oak Meadows wedding celebration would be one to remember. Water fountains gently moving in the light winds as guests made their way down to the ceremony location along the water. The ceremony itself, a reflection of their love and great sense of humor while still respecting their family’s faiths. It was just such a delight to have been asked to share in this day and as always, I highly recommend this location for couples looking for that hidden gem in Temecula Wine Country. There was a time I was performing celebrations here almost every weekend. Over the years things change and now I’m blessed to share moments maybe twice a year but, when I do share in a Lake Oak Meadows Wedding, it’s always one of those times where I can’t wait to see what else has change. I was not let down at all. Since my last wedding I was delighted to see the addition of an enclosed building (Tasting Room coming soon) around what use to be an outdoor fireplace. I was also delighted to see w small waterfall next to the outdoor bar with, yes, those are flames in the water, very cool. I can’t wait to see what I find the next time I come out.

Brian and Monica Say I Do again, feet in the sand, at the Hotel Del Coronado

Elope to San Diego™ – I am often asked why I do what I do and why I love what I do. I have to admit, each and every celebration I do is close to my heart but, I do have a special place in my heart for these Vow Renewal celebrations. Simply because it keeps my heart, in love and as I stand before my couples, I simply step into their spot and the love I have for my Bride. Brian and Monica along with their children Madison, Jordon and Conner and with a few friends, say I Do again, barefoot, feet in the sand on the central beach in front of the Historic Hotel Del Coronado. Adriane, a Staff Sargent in the United States Marine Corps along with his bride Jennifer, with a few friends joined me seaside to share in their day along with three wonderful Military Mondays Hero’s donating their time and talents to make their day complete. Barbara from Mastro Photography providing photographic services and Robin from Grand Floral once again created and delivered to the Hotel Del Coronado a beautiful Bridal Bouquet. Francesca from Caprice Strings was also on hand to serenade our couple. As I spend more and more time with my Hero’s, I learn more and more and what motivates them to share in Serving those that Serve us with my Military Mondays celebrations. one of the reasons might be is; Francesca’ son serves us proudly on board John C Stennis. Ryan and Laura celebrate with a Wiens Family Cellars wedding

Vows From The Heart™ – Laura and Ryan are just one of those couples whose smiles bring a smile to your face. They were so happy and so much fun and wanted their celebration to bring a few chuckles as well as a few tears. I can only assume by the tears and laughs I saw by the couple, wedding party and, family and friends, they succeeded! A few black ominous clouds strolled overhead but never dropped any rain and the wind was strong, not bitter cold. This made for a beautiful setting and holding their cocktail hour in the Wiens barrel room was perfect before guests were invited into the reception room. This is such a beautiful place and Brittany from Wiens Family Cellars kept everything running perfectly and on time. I love it when everything comes together amd look forward to the next time I get to share a magical moment in Temecula Wine County.
